Discover Rajasthan on a cycle - the rolling green hills, and vast deserts, dramatic fortresses and quaint villages where time’s stood still. You'll have the chance to stop and talk to the locals, understand the local way of life and soak in the atmosphere. From the captivating Mehrangarh Fort at Jodhpur, the lakeside palace of Udaipur, the holy town of Pushkar and onto the superb 'pink city' of Jaipur, each place has its own story to tell. Hit UNESCO World Heritage sites including Amber fort and Jantar-Mantar. Cycling is a great way to explore this stunning state, offering a fascinating insight into the traditional way of life here.

    • This is a moderate cycling tour with 6 days of cycling through the back roads of Rajasthan. Daily distances are between 45km to 70km per day.

Day 1 
Jaipur - Arrival

We recommend arriving early as have a full day planned for you! You are also welcome to arrive a day earlier. 
After you are picked up from the airport & transferred to your hotel, we meet up the rest of the group with the Tour Manager for a bike fitting and safety briefing session before heading out by to the centre of the city. We cycle around Jaipur exploring the many beautiful temples and historic architecture. We stop at some famous local restaurants for a quick bite. Later we head to two UNESCO World Hertiage sites – the Amber Fort – built in the 16th Century, the fort comprises of a very well-preserved palace complex divided into 4 sections and Jantar-Mantar – the observatory built in 1728 by Raja Jai Singh II, an avid astronomer. 
We get back on the bike in the evening for a trip to Nahargarh Fort for a spectacular sunset and a birds-eye view of Jaipur.

Day 2 
Jaipur – Fort Sawarda – Pushkar (Cycling 60km – 5 hours)

After a quick breakfast, we start our journey towards the Marwar region of Rajasthan famous for its magnificently forts and painted Havelis (private mansions). The ride for the day starts 10km outside Jaipur and, cycling through the undulating terrain of the Aravalli Range, we make plenty of stops at quaint villages for a first-hand experience of the famed Rajasthani hospitality. Carry on riding till the lunch stop at Fort Sawarda where you are welcomed with a delicious home cooked meal straight from the royal kitchens. After a sumptuous royal meal, we continue the journey to the town of Pushkar and check-in to the hotel there. Spend the evening in Pushkar on a visit to the holy lake of Saraovar, the Bhramha temple, and a heritage walk of Pushkar Bazar. Return to the hotel in the evening for a dinner with the group.

Day 3 
Pushkar – Chandelao (Cycling 60km – 5 hours)

Begin the day with a ride to the historic land of the Marwar and prepare to be regaled with tales of the Marwar and their military prowess. Check in to your hotel, the beautiful Fort Chandelao for an authentic Rajasthani experience – this highly acclaimed palace is the ancestral home of the rulers of the area, and has been tastefully converted to a modern hotel. Spend the afternoon relaxing in your royal surrounds before a jeep safari around Chandelao later in the evening around Olvi Lake. This is your chance to spot a number of bird species including the endangered Sarus crane.

Day 4 
Chandelao – Jodhpur (Cycling 45km – 4 hours)

Ride out of Chandelao, across the River Luni, and towards Jodhpur – on the way we visit villages and learn a little bit about farming techniques used in the deserts of Rajastha. We also stop by at the local school. Stop for lunch on the outskirts on the city of Jodhpur before driving into the city. Visit the mighty Mehrangarh fort and the local museum for a better a better understanding of the history and culture of Jodhpur. Spend the evening on the photography tour of Jodhpur – the blue city – to get up close and personal to the vibrant culture.

Day 5 
Jodhpur – Kumbhalgarh (Cycling 70km – 3 hours)

Start the day with a 60km ride to the the town of Pali stopping at local villages and towns along the way. Learn about the culture of the Bishnoi people – thought to be protectors of wild animals and all along, enjoy the legendary hospitality of the Rajasthani people! 
Once in Kumbalgarh, we visit the UNESCO World Heritage listed fort before heading back to hotel for the evening.

Day 6 
Kumbhalgarh – Udaipur (Cycling 60km – 5 hours)

Another day of riding through the beautiful Rajasthan countryside towards the city of Udaipur. This route for the day goes through hilly terrain with uphills and downhills with the Aravalli Hills creating a stunning backdrop. We stop for lunch before driving the rest of the way to the lovely lake side hotel in Udaipur.

Day 7 
Udaipur – Exploring the city

We spend the day in Udaipur getting better acquainted with this beautiful city - visit the City Palace of Udaipur, take a heritage walk around the old city, and a boat ride in the lake. You could also choose to take a ropeway to the local goddess’s temple or catch the sunset at Sajjangarh Palace. Return to the hotel in time for a farewell dinner with the rest of the group.

Day 8 
Udaipur - Departure

With the journey at an end, you are free to check-out of the hotel after breakfast for a transfer back to Udaipur airport.
