Beyond Bali’s famed beaches are the rural back roads that bridge stunning scenery with volcanoes, rice plantations, many villages and local customs that are not on the 'touristy' radar. Best of all this trip is a chance for travellers to mingle with the locals and understand their culture as we take you into their homes. The short cycling distances on this tour and the fact that it is a guided trip makes it easy for almost everyone to get on it. The fact that you'll stay at one hotel means there is no need for daily packing and unpacking. This trip is a great choice for a first timer on a cycling tour, a bunch of girls looking to do something different and even families with tough youngsters - as long you are a discerning traveler looking for new experiences in Bali.

  • Four full days of outdoorsy fun as you cycle on the back roads to rural parts of Bali including a ride to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Jatiluwih rice paddies
  • Get into the heart of the local action and mingle with the village folk as you visit Balinese homes, share a home-made meal and and understand their way to life. Watch them in action as they attend to their cocoa or paddy plantations or work on handicrafts.
  • Visit the famous Uluwatu temple hanging on a cliff 100 meters above the ocean and enjoy the famous Kecak Dance Drama performance narrating the local version of the Ramayana
  • Climb to the spectacular Mt. Batur, an active volcano at Kintamani that will leave you awe-inspired
  • Witness the process of making Arak (a local alcoholic brew) and have a sip or more yourself.
  • Fully supported rides mean you can jump into the van if you are tired or just rock on on your bicycle if your heart so desires
  • This trip is your chance to churn out envy-generating photographs from visits to beautiful local temples and the stunning rice fields



Day 1 :Arrival - Kuta

Welcome to Bali! Meet our Representative at the Ngurah Rai International Airport & transfer to your hotel. You have the rest of the day free to explore on your own. Overnight in Kuta.

Day 2 :Kuta – Kintamani – Kuta (35 kms)

Today you will be taken on a 2 hour drive to Mt. Batur volcano in Kintamani. You will then peddle downhill with directions from your expert guide. Pass through the Balinese villages, temples, tropical plantations and green rice field as you uncover stories of Balinese traditions and the rural way of life. After 3 hours of cycling, you enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel in your support vehicle and spend the rest of the day at leisure.Note: Transfers are on private basis

Day 3 :Kuta – Pacung – Uluwatu – Kuta (30 Kms)

After breakfast, drive north to the Pacung Mountain Resort from where we start our cycling adventure for the day. Enjoy the panoramic views of the country side as you cycle through villages, valleys, rice fields & coffee plantations. Visit a typical Balinese House to understand the local way of living before stopping at a local restaurant in Ubud for lunch. Today’s ride can be challenging but also rewarding as you get on the back roads of Bali to observe the traditional way of life. After Lunch, you drive back to the hotel in the support vehicle. In the afternoon, visit the famous Uluwatu temple in the Southern part of Bali. Hanging on a cliff 100 meters above the ocean, Uluwatu temple is a unique sight. Enjoy a traditional Kecak Dance perfromance, the only dance form based on vocals. Return to the hotel.

Day 4 :Candidasa – Sidemen Village – Candidasa (17 Kms)

After breakfast, drive to a small village that is often off the radar for most tourists. Cycle on the back roads with very little traffic and beautiful views of rice fields, the river, hills, remote villages, Salak plantation, Cacao trees. Get an insight into the lives of the local as you watch the process of making Arak, a local alcoholic brew and watch the sarongs being hand woven. We end today’s bike ride at a local restaurant to enjoy a traditional meal. Drive back to the hotel . Today’s trail is an approximate 2.5 hour ride. Note: Transfers are on private basis.

Day 5 :Kuta – Jatiluwih – Kuta (25 kms)

After Breakfast, you will drive to central Bali to enjoy a day of cycling at the World Heritage Site of Jatiluwih. Cycle through the most beautiful terraced rice paddies in the world and fall in love with the mesmerizing views. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch overlooking the stunning paddy fields before you drive back to the hotel. Later in the evening, you may want to head out and enjoy the nightlife of Kuta.

Day 6 :Departure

After breakfast you are free to check out of the hotel at any time to catch your flight back home.
